What inspires you to surf? Winning and learning new stuff. Watching other people surf and seeing what lines they draw.

Ever been close to a shark? This last trip to South Africa we were about to paddle out and Simon Nicholas came in and said that the biggest shark just charged him. He said that it actually sprayed him as it turned a couple feet before it got to him, and then disappeared. The waves were going off so we waited a little bit before we paddled out.
Goals as a surfer: Win the world title. I think every pro surfer wants that title.
Tricks of the future: Crazier airs with different grabs and twist, like skateboarding or snowboarding.
Your strongest Maneuver: Frontside Gouge.
