A few years back, Kelly Slater was running past the Team O’Neill Hawaii house on his way out for a surf. He pauses for a moment to watch a kid rip apart a Eukai right hander and utters, “wow, who is that kid? He surfs like Tom Curren!” That was three years ago, and that little kid isn’t as little, but was and is none other than Luke Davis. Luke has an uncanny mature and perfect style for a 16 year old. He has a natural flow that you are either born with or not. He is a standout amateur competitor, winning NSSA events, making finals at nationals, and is part of the ISA USA surf team, which represents the nation’s top talent. He is showing up in editorial in the magazines and has already been around the world twice surfing some of the planet’s top waves.
