California’s best college surfers are gearing up for a big event next weekend.  The National Scholastic Surfing Association is holding the third stop of the 2009/2010 California Team Season Southwest schedule event.

Several universities from up and down the coast will be competing.  Some of the top teams include: UC Santa Cruz, UC Santa Barbara, Long Beach State, UC Irvine, UC San Diego and San Diego State.

Nearly three hundred surfers will take part in next weekends competition in Ventura.  Divisions include: men’s, women’s, longboard and the overall team.

The NSSA College Team Season two day contest kicks off each day about 7:30 a.m and runs until about 5 p.m.  For more info. and heat times, check out nssa.org.
