If you were a friend of Huntington Beach surf legend Chris Hawk or you surfed with him over the years, then you’ll definitely want to attend his memorial and paddle out this Sunday.
The HB local and surfer/shaper lost his battle with oral cancer last Friday at his home in San Clemente.
Since then, a makeshift memorial with surfboards, photos and flowers has been set up outside of Huntington Surf and Sport on the corner of Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway.
If Chris Hawk ever shaped you a custom board or you just happen to have one of his surfboards in your quiver, then you’re encouraged to bring it to the paddle out and ride it!
When: Sunday, November 1st 11 a.m
Where: Northside of the Huntington Beach Pier

WOULDN’T MISS IT!!! GOSH I AM GONNA MISS HIM!
Be encouraged ,for the last year Chris was attending church and seeking God with me and Bobby Gray.We saw peace and joy in Chris even through his last days. Being a believer in Jesus ,Chris is assured a place in the kingdom of heaven. The bible assures us “O DEATH WHERE IS YOUR STING ,O HELL WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY”
Thanks Ace for sharing that, that makes me feel even more comforted regarding Chris. I knew him when we were young and we used to hang out with him and Kathy. Although I’m no longer with his cousin, we have a son that is 3rd cousin to Chris. And I still think of him as part of my family. I remember he had a sweet spirit. Glad to know he is with our Lord. Awesome!!
