Bob Hurley, Machado, guest bartending in Newport to benefit earthquake victims

rob-machadoBig surf names such as Bob  Hurley and Rob Machadowill be guest bartending at “A” Restaurant in Newport Beach on Wednesday to benefit SurfAid International and relief efforts being done in Padang, Sumatra after the recent earthquake.
Machado, Surfline’s Sean Collins and Jonno Wells, along with Bob Hurley and McG will be serving up beverages during the informal event. It kicks off at 6 p.m., no RSVP or tickets required. There will be a tip jar for SurfAid on the bar.

More than 1,100 were reported dead from the 7.6-magnitude earthquake, with more missing. SurfAid’s program director was in the region when the quake hit, and barely escaped death. Read more about the devastating event here.
