It seems more and more pro surfers are playing music these days. And one of the surf world’s most unique individuals is now making a living as a rock star as well.
Australian free-surfer Ozzie Wright made a name for himself doing huge aerials nearly ten years ago, but has also taken up being the front man of a band.
This week Ozzie and his punk band “The Goons of Doom”will be playing a handful of venues across the southland. Just recently they released their new album, “I hate my hair and I want to die”.
This Friday, September 18th you can check out The Goons of Doom at La Cave in Costa Mesa. Then there’s an all ages show at Laguna Surf and Sport on Saturday September 19th at 5 p.m followed by a gig that same evening at The Sandpiper otherwise known as the Dirty Bird in Laguna at 10 p.m.
