Last summer we took a family outing to trail six for the first time. Yes, a family outing. While somewhat concerned about our first venture here with our kids we were absolutely pleased with our visit and have returned a few times since. The respect and courtesy exhibited by everyone who was present on the beach was unmatched. Our children payed little to no attention to the nudity and we all absolutely loved our days at San Onofre. The real crime is removing the “option” from all the people who enjoy this beach most.

I agree that we live in a free country and we should be allowed to be clothing free in a designated area of the beach. I don’t think the article was clear enough on stating that the small nude area of the beach is far removed from the clothed portion of the beach.

It is a sad loss of a harmless freedom that could be enjoyed by all. Most people dream about feeling the sun caress their naked body while they experience a fabulous natural setting. It is so rare in today’s crowded and stress-filled world to be able to enjoy such relaxation and beauty. What strange priorities we have when significant effort and legal resources are devoted by a bankrupt state to taking away this rare pleasure.

People need to stop hiding behind their kids; kids do not become ill or criminals because one has seen a nude person.

Parents wake up, your kid has seen plenty of nude photographs.

Think back to when you were your kids age.

I do not visit California often, but I enjoy going nude and would like to visit this beach.

If parents are so worried about nudity, the state should officially designate it a nude / clothing optional beach. That way signs would be posted and parents can avoid that incredibly small percentage of San Onofre state beach. That means that people / parents would be responsible for their own actions which is a laughable concept in Orange Co.
