Surfing America Summer Surf Jam

Surfing America, the National Governing Body for the sport of surfing in the United States is taking part in a huge concert next month. The Surfing America Summer Surf Jam is teaming up with the popular rock band 311, and special guests Ziggy Marley and The Expendables.
The Surfing America Surf Jam is a collaboration of top surf brands and surf media coming together to promote the surf industry and youth culture in Southern California and elsewhere. Funds from the event will go towards Surfing America programs.
“We are extremely excited by this opportunity,” said Surfing America’s Executive Director Mike Gerard. “And we’re deeply honored by the generous consideration that 311 is giving the Surfing America cause.”
Several surf companies will also have booths set up prior to the concert. The Summer Surf Jam happens on Sunday July 12, and takes place at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre located at 8800 Irvine Center Drive, in Irvine. For tickets and additional info. go to surfingamerica.org/surfjam.
