First off, happy Mother’s Day to all those surfin’ mamas out there!  I’m sure there were a lot of beach moms out there who asked for no better gift than some hours away from responsibility to sneak off for a surf!

Well, if you’re one of those surfing moms who just can’t find the time to paddle out, there’s a group that might be able to help.

Check out Surf Mamas, where moms swap beach babysitting time for surf. They have a Huntington Beach group, as well as a San Diego group and other places along the So Cal coast. There’s blogs, a place to post photos, surf and weather reports, and even a shop section coming soon.

And if you’ve never surfed, maybe buy yourself a lesson this Mother’s Day – it’s a great way to bond with your groms or hubby.
