Three-time World Champion Andy Irons is making a return to competition for one event.  The Kauai native was given a wildcard into the 2009 Billabong Pro Teahupoo which kicks off next week.

Irons has been absent from the ASP World Championship Tour this year for personal reasons, but plans on making a return to full-time competition in 2010.  Most recently Andy Irons has been busy these days with movie premieres, award shows, promos, team trips and most recently filming in Australia.

The 2009 Billabong Pro Teahupoo official waiting period begins on Saturday, May 9, and runs through Wednesday, May 20.  You can watch the live webcast at billabongpro.com.
