If you’re an ocean enthusiast who enjoys paddleboarding or stand-up paddleboarding this event is for you.  SurfAid and Watermans Applied Science is hosting the first annual “SurfAid Paddle For Humanity” at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point next month.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a total beginner or an expert there’s a division for everyone.  The event will include a 2-mile recreational paddle and a 6-mile competitive course.

All the proceeds from the competition will go directly to SurfAid International to help in their efforts to raise awareness and funding in the fight against malaria in third world countries.

SurfAid Paddle For Humanity will also have a paddle board and SUP demo, but you must register before the event in order to reserve a board.  The event takes place on Saturday May 2.  For additional info. check out surfaidinternational.org/paddle09.
