Good Friday morning surf addicts. Unfortunately it’s already back to the small and weak stuff. Yep that was about the shortest run of waves we’ve seen in a while, what a bummer!!
It’s time to break out a log or a fat fish again. It’s mostly clean or light offshore with a minimal mix of west northwest swell and a hint of some tiny southwest energy. That recipe is offering us some soft crumbly lines with a few workable ones.
Most OC beaches are running about knee to waist high with those top spots pulling a few stomach high sets. At 6:59 a.m the tide climbed way up to a 7 foot high which has many spots shut down mid morning. It then drains out to a negative 1.8 low at 2:24 this afternoon.
If you’re gonna grab a grovel session throw on that 4/3 full and the booties with the water temp at most breaks hanging between 54 and 56 degrees.

Good luck!!
