Two O.C. surfers take third in the world

January 8th, 2009, 5:08 pm · Post a Comment · posted by Laylan Connelly, staff writer

San Clemente reporter Fred Swegles wrote an article about Tanner Gudauskas of San Clemente and Courtney Conlogue of Santa Ana, who both reached third-place in the junior surfing world this week, based on their placings in the Billabong ASP World Junior Championships.

The Association of Surfing Professionals reported that Gudauskas, 20, took third place today in a junior men’s championship event won by Hawaii’s Kai Barger at North Narrabeen, Australia. Conlogue, 16, placed third Tuesday in the junior women’s event won by Pauline Ado from France.
