Call in sick tomorrow - Mountain High Resort announced the mountain will be fully open from top to bottom starting today.
Mountain High in Wrightwood opened its beginner run on Saturday, but was able to blow enough snow with the cold temps the past few nights to open up Upper Chisolm, Lower Chisolm, Cruiser, and Sunnyside trails.
There’s a base of about 6 to 12 inches of man-made snow. Lifts are open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., with night skiing starting at 5 p.m.
Private lessons begin on Friday and group lessons are expected to begin once Snow Flake chair opens.
Early season cost: $40 for adult 8-hour ticket; $35 for an adult 4-hour ticket. Children ages 7 to 12 $24, and night tickets (valid from 5-10pm) $30. More info: mthigh.com.
Events this weekend include Utility Battle of the Boards on Saturday and Oakley Uprising on Sunday.
Weather forecasts are calling for favorable snowmaking conditions through Wednesday, with a low- pressure system moving in over the weekend and possible snow showers beginning Dec. 13.
Directions:
The addition of the toll roads has made travel from South Orange County even easier. Take the 91 Freeway to Interstate 15 North. Exit Highway 138 West and make a left on Highway 2. You will find Mountain High just three miles past the town of Wrightwood. Travel time from Orange County is less than 75 minutes.
Or you could call in gay.
