Surf Report 12-3-08

December 3rd, 2008, 6:27 am · Post a Comment · posted by Jeff Malanca, contributing writer

Good Wednesday morning surfers.  Well it’s looking fun and rippable out there, with some playful waves especially at those more exposed beach breaks.

It’s clean and glassy with mostly a decent amount of northwest swell and a tad of remnant southwest energy.  That recipe is making for some fast sectiony lines with a few good wedgers to grab.

Most OC beaches are running about knee to waist high with the top spots pulling stomach to chest high waves with some shoulder high plus sets.

At 5:30 a.m the tide dropped to a 3.3 low and then pushes up to a 4.7 high at 11:27 later this morning and then drops again to a 0.5 low at 7:24 this evening.

If you’re planning on paddling, a 3/2 fullsuit will do you right with the water temp at most breaks hanging between 58 and 60 degrees.

Good luck out there!!
