Surf Report 12-2-08

December 2nd, 2008, 6:25 am · Post a Comment · posted by Jeff Malanca, contributing writer

Good Tuesday morning surf addicts.  Well it’s slowly starting to fade out there, but you can still find plenty of playful waves with a few sizeable sets.  It’s mostly clean with a fair amount of northwest swell and a touch of southwest energy in the water.

That recipe is making for some fast sectiony lines with some of the sets a little walled, but you can pick off some good workable corners.  Most OC beaches are running about waist to chest high with the top spots pulling shoulder to head high waves with an occasional bigger set.

At 10:41 a.m the tide climbs up to a 5.1 high which will have some breaks a little slow later morning.  The tide then drops to a 0.3 low at 6:37 this evening.

If you’re gonna grab a session, break out a 3/2 fullsuit with the water temp at most spots hanging between 59 and 61 degrees.
