Surf Report 11-14-08

Waking up with the waves on Friday.  Well it looks like she’s backing down again.  Yep some spots are looking pretty playful while others are looking really weak.  Those extreme tides are playing a big part on when you’ll want to paddle out.

It’s mostly clean and glassy with a mix of some minor to decent northwest swell and some fading southwest energy.  That recipe is offering us some kinda soft sectiony lines with a few fun ones.  You might want to break out a fish or even a log.

Most OC beaches are running about knee to stomach high with the top spots pulling chest high waves with an occasional shoulder high set.

At 8:48 a.m the tide pushes up to another whopping 7.2 high which will turn off some spots mid morning.  The tide then drains out to a negative 1.3 low at 4:11this afternoon.

If you’re gonna grab a session, the 3/2 fullsuit will do you right with the water temp at most spots hanging between 57 and 59 degrees.

Good luck out there!!
