Surf Report 10-29-08

October 29th, 2008, 6:47 am · Post a Comment · posted by Jeff Malanca, contributing writer

Good Wednesday morning surf addicts.  Well it’s calling all groms.  Yep we’re stuck back in small mode for now.  It’s mostly clean and glassy with a mix of some minimal south southwest swell and a tad of northwest energy.

That recipe is making for some crumbly broken up lines with a few fun ones.  Most OC beaches are running about knee to waist high with the focal points pulling stomach high waves with an occasional bigger one.

At 9:25 a.m the tide climbs up to a 6.2 high which will turn off some spots mid morning.  Your best bet once that tide drops a bit eventually draining out to a negative 0.2 low at 4:28 this afternoon.

If you’re gonna grab a grovel session throw on a thin fullsuit with the water temp at most breaks hanging between 60 and 63 degrees.

Good luck!!
