If you’re a male surfer or you have ever thought about sporting a moustache then next month is the time.  The month of November has become known as “Movember” to many in the surf world.  Mo is the Australian slang for moustache.  “Movember” started down under back in 2003 when a couple of mates were tossing back a few brews and decided men’s health issues needed a forum and the moustache was in dire need of a comeback.  The goal was to create a campaign to help raise awareness and money for men’s health and the fight against prostate cancer.  Since “Movembers” inception, almost $29 million has been raised globally for prostate cancer research, including $740,568 raised in the United States last year.  For more info. on Movember happenings or to make a donation for prostate cancer research, check out movember.com.
