
If you’re a surfer, a shaper or you’ve ever thought about building your own board, then you’ll want to check out The Sacred Craft Consumer Surfboard Expo. Several of the worlds best shapers will be on hand along with a number of surfboard companies unveiling their latest equipment. This years board expo also features a “Tribute to the Masters Shape-off” honoring San Diego shaping icon Bill Caster who passed away several years ago from color cancer. The craftsmen honoring Caster that will be mowing foam include Ward Coffey, Matt Calvani, Timmy Patterson, Chris Christenson, Ned McMahon and Ricky Carroll. The event will also have a number of informational seminars. The Sacred Craft Consumer Surfboard Expo happens this Saturday October 11th and Sunday October 12th at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, Wyland Exhibit Hall. Entry is $5.oo and it’s open to the public.
