It's always rewarding to make a difference.

Me and two family members went to the Upper Newport Bay area and combed through the wetlands and gathered trash. Mostly plastic bottles and tennis balls were found, but we ran into a full bottle of oil, food containers, foam cups, plastic buckets and lids... just plain trash. I'm always amazed at what is collected.

Afterwords, people gathered at the main area by the Interpretive Center and lined up for fresh grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, snacks and drinks.
A good day indeed!

Only one complaint, the bags for the recycle and the trash looked the same, they were both white. Last time they were two different colors, the different colors made it easier to separate the trash and make things go faster. (just a suggestion)
