Surf Report 9-13-08

September 13th, 2008, 9:28 am · Post a Comment · posted by Jeff Malanca, contributing writer

Waking up with the waves on Saturday.  Well it’s continuing to lose more steam, but some of the south facing focal points are still looking pretty rippable.

It’s mostly clean and glassy with a minor to decent amount of south southwest swell in the water.  That recipe is making for some fast sectiony lines, with some of the sets a bit walled.

Most OC beaches are running about knee to stomach high with the top south facing spots pulling shoulder high waves with maybe a few plus sets.

At 9:08 a.m the tide climbed up to a 4.8 high which will have some spots a little swamped mid morning.  The tide then drops to a 1.5 low at 2:39 this afternoon.

If you’re gonna grab a couple, break out a short sleeve full for at least that morning session with the water temp at most breaks hanging between 65 and 68 degrees.
