The first stop of the 2008/2009 Monster Sun Diego Pro/Am Surf Tour presented by Ezekiel kicks off Saturday September 13th and Sunday September 14th.  The Amateurs take to the lineup at Cardiff’s Seaside Reef in San Diego today with the Pros hitting the water tomorrow.  The AA rated competition offers a ton of cash and prizes for the Pros and Amateurs.  The Prize money for the amateur finals is $300 Mens, $150 Juniors, $150 Boys, $150 Masters, $100 Womens and $50 for the Mini Groms.  The Pro final cash breakdown looks like this…1st place $2500, 2nd $1200, 3rd $700, 4th $500, =5th $400, =7th $300.  There’s also $100 for the “Highest Wave Score” Award and $100 for the “Most Radical Maneuver of the Event”.  For more info. check out sundiego.com.
