Surf Report 9-11-08

September 11th, 2008, 7:00 am · Post a Comment · posted by Jeff Malanca, contributing writer

Good Thursday morning surf addicts.  Well it’s starting to fade out there, but you can still find plenty of playful waves, with some of the top spots still seeing a good dose of energy.

It’s fairly clean, but some spots are seeing some texture on it.  We’ve got a moderate amount of south southwest swell in the water.  That recipe is making for some fast semi-wally lines, with a few good steep corners to grab.

Most OC beaches are running about waist to chest high with the top south facing spots pulling shoulder high waves with some inconsistent head high plus sets.

At 8:34 a.m the tide climbs up to a 4.2 high which will have some spots pretty full mid morning.  The tide then drops to a 2.4 low at 1:32 this afternoon.

If you’re gonna get wet, break out a short sleeve fullsuit for at least that morning session with the water temp hanging between 66 and 68 degrees.

Have fun out there!!
