Surf Report 9-7-08

September 7th, 2008, 8:36 am · Post a Comment · posted by Jeff Malanca, contributing writer

Good Sunday morning surf addicts.  Well we’ve got plenty of playful waves on tap.  It’s continuing to fade out there, but it’s a bit more broken up.  It’s mostly clean, however some spots are seeing a little texture on it.

We’ve got mostly minor to decent south southwest swell and a little west northwest energy in the water.  That recipe is making for some crumbly sectiony lines with a few fun rippable shoulders.

Most OC beaches are running about knee to waist high with the top south facing spots pulling stomach to chest high waves with a few shoulder high plus sets.

At 3:07 this afternoon the tide climbs up to a 4.5 high and then drops to a 1.1 low at 12:01 early Monday morning.  If you’re gonna grab a session, throw on a thin full or short sleeve full for at least the morning with the water temp hanging between 64 and 67 degrees.

Good luck out there!!
