For the last few months shops from all over the country have been battling it out in regional competitions hoping to make the finals. Each surf shop is made up of four surfers, two pro riders and two shop employees. The five teams include Heritage Surf and Sport from New Jersey representing the Northeast and Sunrise Surf Shop from Florida representing the Southeast. Representing the Central/Northwest is O’neill Surf Shop from Santa Cruz, Surf Ride in San Diego representing the Southwest and Town and Country from Hawaii. All five finalists have won an all expense paid trip to California, a half page ad in Surfer Magazine and a VIP table at the 2008 Surfer Poll and Video Awards. The winning team will walk away with $10,000, the chance to attend the Quiksilver in Memory of Eddie Aikau Opening Ceremony in Hawaii, a full page shop ad in Surfer and a new carbon fiber surfboard from Aviso.
