Surfline weekly forecast: Waves to bump up a bit this weekend

August 25th, 2008, 3:15 pm · Post a Comment · posted by Laylan Connelly, staff writer

Surfline.com forecaster Chris Borg gives us a  look on how waves will look this week and beyond:

A modest scale mix of southwest Southern Hemisphere swell and northwest windswell laps in on Wednesday and Thursday. Surf is mainly down in the knee-thigh-waist high zone,  with the better breaks seeing more of the waist-high waves.
An intermittent eddy circulation off the coast will set up light south winds in the early morning hours through the middle of the week. That will be followed by afternoon west winds in the 10-15kt zone.
Surf stays small as winds gradually ease on Friday. A little more southwest Southern Hemisphere swell bumps waves up a bit this weekend. Stronger south groundswell kicks  in next week.
