Surf Report 8-12-08

August 12th, 2008, 6:53 am · Post a Comment · posted by Jeff Malanca, contributing writer

Good Tuesday morning surf addicts.  Well it’s looking really fun considering it’s not cranking.  Yep we’ve got a pretty decent dose of combo action.

It’s clean and glassy with a mix of some leftover south southwest swell, some southerly energy and a fair amount of northwest windswell.

That recipe is making for some nice broken up lines, with plenty of rippable ones.  Most OC beaches are running about waist to chest high with the top combo breaks pulling shoulder high waves with maybe a few plus sets.

At 9:04 a.m the tide climbs up to a 3.7 high and then drops to three feet at 1:04 this afternoon.  If you’re gonna grab a session before you make it into the office, break out a thin full or short sleeve full with the water temp hanging between 64 and 67 degrees.

Have fun out there!!
