Surf Report 7-26-08

July 26th, 2008, 7:55 am · Post a Comment · posted by Jeff Malanca, contributing writer

Good Saturday morning surf addicts.  Well if you’ve been praying for surf it’s paying off.  The only bummer there’s not much shape out there.  It’s fairly clean with some spots seeing a texture or light bump due to the minor south southeast wind.  We’ve got mostly a pretty good dose of south swell in the water.

That recipe is making for some fast semi-wally left handers with the occasional makeable bowly corner.  Most OC beaches are running about chest to shoulder high, with the top south facing spots pulling head high waves with some overhead sets.

At 8:59 a.m the tide drops to a 2.3 low and then climbs back up to a 5.6 high at 4:19 this afternoon.  If you’re planning on paddling, throw on a shortsleeve fullsuit with the water temp at most spots hanging between 65 and 69 degrees.

Have fun out there!!
