Waking up with the waves on Monday. Well we’ve got plenty of waves, but not much shape. So you might want to hit up a point or a reef or some sort. It’s fairly clean, but some spots are seeing a little texture or minor bump on it.
We’ve got a pretty good dose of mostly south swell in the water. That recipe is making for some fast drained out wally lines, with the occasional good wedgy corner to pick off. Most OC beaches are running about waist to shoulder high with the top south facing spots pulling head high waves with a few inconsistent overhead sets.
At 6:00 a.m the tide dropped to a negative 0.2 low which will have many breaks desperate for water early on. The tide then pushes back up to a 4.3 high at 12:32 this afternoon. If you’re gonna grab a session before you make your way into the office, throw on a thin full for at least that a.m surf, with the water temp hanging between 63 and 67 degrees.
