In the shadow of the U.S. Open, there’s a little friendlier contest down the beach that kids can enter called the 3rd Annual WSA Menehune Surf Fest.
On Saturday, young surfers ages 6-16 can compete at 9th Street Huntington Beach at any level of ability. If you’re thinking about competing for the first time or need something to do while you’re waiting for the HB Surf Series to get back on its feet, you should check this out.
Parents are allowed to push in their young surfers in the 8-years and under divisions, and can assist or coach in the 10-year and under divisions. There will be prizes, food and beach games included.
Register online by midnight Wednesday at www.SurfWSA.org or click here.
