Surf Report 7-7-08

July 7th, 2008, 6:46 am · Post a Comment · posted by Jeff Malanca, contributing writer

Good Monday morning surf addicts.  Well it’s looking kinda fun considering there’s not much size out there.  It’s pretty clean and glassy with mostly leftover southwest swell and a tiny bit of northwest windswell.

That recipe is making for some drained out sectiony lines with a few workable ones.  Most OC beaches are running about knee to waist high with the top spots pulling some stomach high waves with maybe a few chest high sets.

At 7:19 a.m the tide drops to a negative 0.2 low which will have many spots hurting for water mid morning.  The tide then pushes back up to a 4.6 high at 2:04 this afternoon.  If you’re gonna grab a few break out no more than a thin fullsuit with the water temp hanging between 63 and 66 degrees.

Have at it!!
