Surf Report 7-6-08

Waking up with the waves on Sunday.  Well she’s in need of a jumpstart.  Yep it’s pretty small up and down the coast.  It’s mostly clean, but some spots are seeing a little texture on it due to the light southwest wind.

We’ve got a combination of minor northwest windswell and some minimal southwest swell.  That recipe is making for some kinda crumbly peaky lines with a few fun workable corners.  Most OC beaches are running about knee to waist high with the top spots pulling some stomach high plus sets.

At 6:39 a.m the tide dropped to a negative 0.8 low which will have many spots drained out early on.  The tide then pushes back up to a  4.5 high at 1:19 this afternoon.  If you’re gonna grab a grovel session, I’d throw on a thin fullsuit for at least that a.m session with the water temp hanging between 62 and 65 degrees.

Good luck out there!!
