New report says sunscreens are inadequate for UVA

An environmental advocacy group has released a report slamming most sunscreen products and set the industry afire against them.

The story, appearing on WebMD.com today, says a study released by the Environmental Working Group claims the vast majority of brand name sunscreens inadequately protect against UVA rays and calls on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to make changes in sunscreen labeling.

Naturally, sunscreen makers were upset by the report and responded vigorously.
