Are you one of those surfers who loves to ride those 1970’s era boards. Then here’s your chance to compete in a contest that’s geared just for that. It’s the 10th annual Surfside Seventies contest. Basically you bring down your retro 70’s equipment, if you have any, and then a raffle will be held to decide which board you have to ride in the event. The action all goes down on Saturday July 19th at Anderson Street in Surfside. Tons of prizes will be awarded for the best wipeout, best barrel, best mustache, best lipper, best seventies style and also for the least amount of waves caught in a heat. There’s a $30.00 entry fee, but you’ll also get a contest t-shirt and food and drinks at the awards banquet later that day. To sign up go to Katin Surf Shop on PCH in Surfside.
