Surf Report 6-30-08

June 30th, 2008, 7:24 am · Post a Comment · posted by Jeff Malanca, contributing writer

Good Monday morning surf addicts.  Well if you’re feeling the Monday blues, go grab a session before you head into the office.  It’s mostly clean, but many spots are seeing a little texture on it due to the light northwest wind.

We’ve got a decent dose of mostly lingering south southwest swell and a touch of minor northwest windswell.  That recipe is making for some kinda crumbly fast sectiony lines with some of the sets pretty walled.  Most OC beaches are running about waist to chest high with the top south facing spots pulling shoulder high waves, with a few inconsistent plus sets.

At 8:48 a.m the tide climbs up to a 3.5 high and then drops to a 2.3 low at 12:59 this afternoon.  If you’re planning on paddling that water temp has taken another dip, so break out at least a thin fullsuit for at least that morning session with it hanging between 60 and 64 degrees.

Have fun out there!!
