Surf Report 6-26-08

June 26th, 2008, 7:02 am · Post a Comment · posted by Jeff Malanca, contributing writer

Good Thursday morning surf addicts.  Well it’s looking kinda fun out there.  Yep we’ve got some decent combo action in the water.  The bummer, that southwind is on it which is putting some texture or light bump at many spots.

We’ve got some new southwest swell and some leftover northwest windswell in the water.  That recipe is making for some fast fairly broken up lines, with plenty of rippable ones.  Most OC beaches are running about waist to stomach high with the top spots pulling chest high waves, with a few shoulder high plus sets.

At 9:12 a.m the tide drops to a 1.1 low which will have some breaks lacking water mid morning.  The tide then climbs back up to a 4.9 high at 4:17 this afternoon.  If you’re gonna get wet, that water temp has dipped down a tad with most spots hanging between 65 and 68 degrees.

Have fun!!
