Surf Report 6-6-08

June 6th, 2008, 7:02 am · Post a Comment · posted by Jeff Malanca, contributing writer

Good Friday morning surf addicts.  Well it looks like our run of fun waves is hanging around for another day.  It’s clean and glassy with a mix of some minor northwest windswell and a little southwest energy in the water.

That recipe is making for some crossed up sectiony lines, with plenty of rippable ones.  Most OC beaches are running about knee to stomach high with the top combo breaks pulling chest high waves, with a few shoulder high sets.

At 6:23 a.m the tide dropped to a negative 1.5 low which will have some spots lacking water early on.  The tide then pushes back up to a 3.9 high at 1:11 this afternoon.  If you’re gonna grab a couple, break out no more than a thin fullsuit with the water temp hanging between 61 and 64 degrees.

Have fun out there!!
