Surf Report 6-2-08

June 2nd, 2008, 6:57 am · Post a Comment · posted by Jeff Malanca, contributing writer

Good Monday morning surfers.  Well it’s looking pretty fair out there.  Yep it’s pretty small and weak, up and down the coast.  It’s mostly clean, but some spots are seeing a texture or light bump on it due to the minor south wind.

We’ve got mostly minimal northwest windswell along with a tad of southerly energy.  That recipe is making for some crumbly sectiony lines, with a few fun shoulder to nab if you’re on a fish or a log.  Most OC beaches are running about knee to waist high with the top spots pulling stomach high waves, with a few plus sets.

At 9:33 a.m the tide climbs up to a 3.8 high and then drops to a 1.8 low at 2:09 this afternoon.  If you’re gonna get wet break out at least a thin full with the water temp on the cool side, with most spots averaging between 60 and 62 degrees.

Good luck out there!!
