Best Surf Shops Taking it to the Water

The Best Surf Shops spanning from Orange County to San Diego are about ready to battle it out once again. No and I’m not talking about who can sell the most product, but who has the best surf team. The 2008 Quiksilver Surfshop Challenge is heading to Newport Beach next week for the Southwest Regional qualifier. Some of the top shops from the OC include, Huntington Surf and Sport, Jack’s, and the Frog House, while down in San Diego it’s 2007 reigning shop challenge champs Hansen’s and Sun Diego. Each shop has a four man team which is made up of two team riders and two shop employees. The action all goes down on Friday June 6th at 54th street in Newport Beach. The Quiksilver Surf Shop Challenge has four different regions which covers all of California, South Carolina to Maine, Texas to Georgia and Hawaii. Come September, the overall winner from each region will duke it out for $10,000 at the National Championships at the HB Pier. For more info. check out quiksilver.com.
