Anyone who was out in San Clemente early this morning might have noticed something a bit out of the norm - an SUV in the surf, with the driver still in it.

Apparently, the owner drove the vehicle (valued at $56,000) onto the sand to get a closer look at the sunset. Then it got stuck. Lifeguards found him still in the car - a 2008 Cadillac Escalade - as waves crashed onto it and nearly knocked it over.
Seriously… could you be more lazy? Next time, I’d suggest getting out to walk. Bring a lawn chair, perhaps. Get Register reporter Sal Hernandez’  full story here.
