Surf Report 4-25-08

April 25th, 2008, 6:46 am · Post a Comment · posted by Jeff Malanca, contributing writer

Good Friday morning surf addicts.  Well you better start praying for some surf.  Yep it’s looking pretty micro out there, up and down the coast.  It’s clean and glassy with a tiny bit of northwest windswell and a trace of southwest energy.

That recipe is making for some super weak peaky lines, with a few workable ones, if you’re on a log or maybe a fish.  Most OC beaches are running about knee high, with the top combo spots pulling waist high waves, with a few stomach high plus set waves.

At 7:38 a.m the tide drops to a 0.3 low which will have many spots desperate for water mid morning.  The tide then doesn’t push back up to a 4.6 high until 12:14 a.m early Saturday morning.  If you’re really in need of a saltwater bath, break out that 4/3 full with the water temp hanging between 56 and 57 degrees.

Good luck out there!!
