Top teams roll at AVP Dallas Open

The top AVP teams continued to roll Sunday as Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh, and Phil Dallhausser and Todd Rogers won the AVP Cuervo Gold Crown Dallas Open.
May-Treanor and Walsh overcame a 13-11 deficit in the third game to knock off their main rivals Nicole Branagh and Elaine youngs 17-21, 21-14, 15-13 in the women’s final.
Dallhausser and Rogers beat fourth-seeded Jake Gibb and Sean Rosenthal, 16-21, 21-16 and 15-12. The victory was the sixth of their last seven starts on the AVP Crocs Tour.
Both teams are coasting into the Huntington Beach Open in two weeks. The event will be the final of the Cuervo Gold Crown Series. After the final in Huntington Beach, the top two teams in the series will face off in a winner take all match for $25,000.
