Surf Report 4-23-08

Good Wednesday morning surf addicts. Well it’s looking kinda like a repeat. Yep it’s still pretty small and weak up and down the coast.  It’s mostly clean and glassy with a mix of minimal northwest windswell and a touch of southwest energy.

That recipe is making for some drained out sectiony lines, with a few fast shoulders to pick off.  Your best bet is once that tide fills in a little.  Most OC beaches are running about knee to waist high with the top combo breaks pulling some occasional stomach high plus waves.

At 5:56 a.m. the tide drained out to a negative 0.2 low which will have many spots lacking water early on.  The tide then pushes back up to a 3.1 high at 12:28 this afternoon.  If you’re gonna get wet, definitely break out the 4/3 full and the booties with the water temp hanging between 54 and 56 degrees.

Good luck out there!!
