Surf Report 3-29-08

Good Saturday morning weekend warriors.  Well I hate to bum you out, but it’s not looking very inviting.  Yep there’s a pretty moderate southwind that doesn’t appear to be laying down anytime soon.  That’s putting lots of texture on it or even a light chop at many spots.

As far as the surf goes, there’s still plenty of combo action in the water.  We’ve got a mix of some southwest swell and some west northwest energy in the mix.  That recipe is making for some crumbly and bumpy broken up lines, with a few fun ones.  Most OC beaches are running about waist to chest high with the top combo spots pulling shoulder high waves with a few head high sets.

At eleven nineteen later this morning the tide drops to a 0.7 low and then doesn’t push back up to a 4.1 high until three fifty nine early sunday morning.  If you’re gonna grab a session throw on no more than 4/3 full, with the water temp hanging between 57 and 58 degrees.

Good luck out there!!
