Waking up with the waves on Saturday…Well if you’ve been pitted at work all week, then it’s definitely worth it, but watch out for those weekend crowds!  Overall it’s continuing to drop, but it’s still super fun.  It’s pretty clean, but some spots are seeing a little texture on it, thanks to the variable light southeast wind.

We’ve got a mix of leftover south southwest swell and a little west northwest energy.  That recipe is making for some kinda soft sectiony lines, with some fun ones.  Most OC beaches are running about knee to waist high with the top combo spots pulling stomach to chest high waves ,with maybe a few plus sets.

At nine eighteen this morning the tide climbs up to a 5.3 high, which is going to shut down some breaks mid morning.  Your best bet once that tide turns around, eventually draining out to a negative 0.2 low at three thirty one this afternoon.  If you’re gonna get wet, the 4/3 full is plenty with the water temp averaging between 57 and 58 degrees.

Get on it!!
