Well there’s less than a month left before the last submissions for the 2008 Billabong XXL Global Big Wave awards.  And it looks like the last eleven months proved to be an amazing year for Big-Wave riding, with more than 400 entries submitted from around the globe.   The most recent shot came from a spot off the coast of France, Belharra Reef, with a monster wave ridden by Vincent Lartizen.  The Billabong XXL awards have a number of categories, including Ride of the Year, Biggest Wave, Monster Tube, and the Monster Paddle Award.   Also featured are the Best Overall Performance Award and the Billabong Girl’s Performance Award.  This years Billabong XXL Awards ceremony takes place April 11.  To check out some of the entries, go to www.BillabongXXL.com
