The Huntington Beach weekly report just came out, reporting that a dead whale washed up onto shore last Thursday.
The 12-foot juvenile whale came onto the sand just north of Beach Blvd.
It is believed that the whale died from a propeller wound from a passing vessel. Lifeguards contacted the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History, according to the report.
The whale was loaded onto the trailer, and taken to the museum for a necropsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Thank goodness this tactic isn’t used to get rid of washed up whales anymore. Uh, don’t watch it if you have a weak stomach.
