The first stop of the 2008 ASP Women’s World Qualifying Series concluded today.  Australia’s Sally Fitzgibbons was on point for the entire event of the Roxy Pro Surfing Festival at Phillip Island, Victoria Australia.   The 17-year old went up against Brazil’s Bruna Schmitz in the final, but it was Fitzgibbons 9.75 ride which helped her to walk away with the win.  The ASP World Junior Champion took home $4500.00 for first and 2500 points.  This win puts Fitzgibbons in first place in the WQS ratings.  For more highlights from the Roxy Pro Surfing Festival go to www.aspworldtour.com.
