Surf Report 1-26-08

January 26th, 2008, 7:46 am · Post a Comment · posted by Jeff Malanca, contributing writer

Good Saturday morning surf addicts…Well it looks like there’s a little bit of a window for a quick session.  Yep it’s mostly-clean with a light offshore wind, which is putting a little texture on it.  We’ve got some southwest wind swell and a little west northwest energy.

That recipe is making for some crumbly broken up lines with a few good wedgers.  Most OC beaches are running about knee to waist high with the top spots pulling stomach high waves with a few chest high plus sets.

At five twenty four this morning the tide dropped to a 1.6 low and then pushes back up to a 4.6 high at eleven ten later this morning.  It then drops once again to a 0.3 low at five forty two this evening.

If you’re gonna squeeze in a session, throw on the 4/3 full and the booties, with the water temp hanging between 55 and 57 degrees.

Have at it!!
